Primary Care Associates of Davidson opens at Exit 30

A ribbon-cutting was held Thursday for Primary Care Associates of Davidson. Dr. Melissa Jones is at center (plaid dress).
Melissa M. Jones has opened Primary Care Associates of Davidson in One Harbour Place, 130 Harbour Place Drive, next to Sabi restaurant.
Dr. Jones is board-certified in family medicine and received her degree at University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. She did her residency in the department of family medicine at Carolinas Medical Center.
She explained at a ribbon-cutting Thursday that osteopathic medicine includes additional training in the musculoskeletal system. She also did a traditional family medicine residency.

Dr. Jones says her training allows her to specialize “in treating the ‘whole person’ in the context of his or her family and community.” She will take patients from infants to seniors.
She’s offering free sports physicals to nearby schools throughout the fall, and promises same-day sick appointments. “I can see patients for their disease management issues, routine physicals, and routine gynecological care, including pap smears,” she said.
A ribbon cutting for the new office was held Thursday afternoon, Sept. 9, with representatives from Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, the Town of Davidson and local chambers of commerce.
Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesdays 8 a.m. – noon. For more information or an appointment call 704-439-0580.
