Silly Bandz, those colorful and whimsical elastic bracelets that all the kids seem to be wearing, are the year’s big fad. One friend of ours event recently reported seeing a man with a full-arm tattoo – covered in Silly Bandz. And this spring we wrote about how some schools have banned the bands as a distraction. Now some are suggesting the wrist-choking bands could be a health risk for kids.
In the Washington Post’s “The Checkup” blog, Jennifer LaRue Huget and Rob Stein report on recently-voiced concerns that tight Silly Bandz could cut off circulation to your hand.
