The second annual Run Too Overcome 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run will take place on Saturday, March 6 at 8 a.m. at the Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics Center, 11725 Verhoeff Drive, Huntersville. Proceeds benefit the Special Needs Programs for 8 CMS Northern Learning Community Schools: Bailey Middle, Blythe Elementary, Croft Community, Davidson Elementary, Huntersville Elementary, J.V. Washam Elementary, Torrence Creek Elementary, and Barnette Elementary.

Online registration for the event is available at www.queencitytiming.com (through March 3). Registration forms can be picked-up at the Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics Center or at the front offices of participating schools.

Advance registration is $25 for the 5K Run/Walk ($20 for CMS Staff) and $15 for the Kids Race. Race Day registration is available at the race location from 6-7:45 a.m. at $30 for the 5K and $20 for the kids’ race.

Entertainment at the event will be provided by the local band Cynergy and by the Coca-Cola Discovery Vehicle, which features a Wii Sport playcenter and interactive inflatable games.
