Area blood drives scheduled in January

Community Blood Center of the Carolinas has planned a number of public blood drives in January in the Lake Norman area, beginning on New Year’s Day at Birkdale shopping center in Huntersville. They include a Jan. 23 drive at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson and a Jan. 26 date at Lake Norman YMCA. See the full schedule below …

Please note the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas has implemented a new weight requirement for blood donors – it has changed from 110 pounds to 120 pounds
More public drives can be found by logging on to the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas Web site at www.cbcc.us [1]. CBCC also has donation centers in Charlotte and Belmont, and a new one open in Union County! You may call 704-972-4700 to make an appointment at any location.
