Almost time to ring in the New Year – the Asian lunar New Year, that is – and celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Tiger. Davidson College’s Asian Cultural Awareness Association will sponsor its annual Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 6-9 p.m. at the Alvarez College Union and on the lawn outside the Chambers Building.

The event will include performances by Davidson students, a pair of Asian dance acts, martial arts demonstrations, and a Lion Dance. They’ll also have food catered by Sabi Asian Bistro in Davidson.

Then at 9 p.m., the party will adjourn to the front lawn of the Chambers Building for the annual fireworks display.
