rabbit year logoDavidson College’s Asian Culture & Awareness Association host its annual Lunar New Year Celebration to welcome the Year of the Rabbit on Sunday, Feb. 6, 5-7:30 p.m., at Davidson College Alvarez College Union atrium.

The annual event includes performances and food. At 8 p.m., the crowd moves to the Chambers Hall front lawn for fireworks. Free and open to the public.

The event this year will include performances by the Little Lotus Troupe, Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy, and a martial arts performance from Davidson student Kun Zhang. Activities for students or children include calligraphy, making dumplings, and face painting.

Free food for the evening is provided by Sabi Asian Bistro.

The Year of the Rabbit begins on Thursday, Feb. 3.
