The North Mecklenburg Senior Center is in the Solid Rock Church, 16601 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville.  Here are details:

• WHAT’S UNDER THE LAKE, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 10am –  Jan Blodgett, archivist at Davidson College, has launched a special research project exploring “Under Lake Norman.”  She’ll talk about her research. • NATIONAL SENIOR CITIZENS DAY, Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1pm – All seniors in the area are invited to enjoy dessert and coffee at the center as they observe National Senior Citizens Day. Huntersville Mayor Jill Swain will be the guest speaker
• PIZZA/TRVIA PARTY, Friday, Aug. 30, noon – It’s pizza and trivia for all seniors on Friday August 30th, starting at noon. Trivia expert Dan Kiurski will be conducting a stimulating program right after lunch. Admission: simply bring a package of lunch or dessert sized plates.
