Your weekend options are many and varied, from the Davidson Wildcats Fan Day on the Davidson Green Saturday to “The Fantasticks” at Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius to outdoor concerts in Mooresville and Kannapolis. Thursday night at Summit Coffee in Davidson, barista Jesse Vetrone and bandmate Mack Russum bring their two-man electronic music project Colours to the stage. Mooresville’s “Live in the 115″ music series continues Friday night downtown, while Kannapolis’s summer concert series Saturday night features Bomshel with The Gal Friday Band, followed by fireworks. The Carolina Diamonds women’s professional softball team have their final homestand of the season this weekend at Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis. Students and alumni of the Cannon Theater Co. are teaming up with actors and artists across the area to produce “The Fantasticks,” Aug. 9-12 at Warehouse Performing Arts Center, 9216-A Westmoreland Road, Cornelius. In this video, members of the cast and crew discuss the experience so far and talk about how they hope The Fantasticks will be brought to life again.
