Friday morning, bring your preschooler to the Davidson Library for Preschool Storytime with songs, stories, and reading development with the library staff. Later that evening head over to Campania’s Party on the Porch for live music, or stop by Summit Coffee for more live music by Time Sawyer.

On Saturday area farmer’s markets continue. Both the Davidson Farmer’s Market and the Downtown Mooresville Farmer’s Market will be open from 8am – noon, featuring local food and crafts. That evening, Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) presents the annual Symphony in the Park at Bailey Road Park, with Mike McKay of classical public radio station WDAV-FM as the master of ceremonies and a fireworks presentation following the performance. Carrburritos continues its summer music series with the Parodi Kings at 9:30pm. The show is $6, with a portion of proceeds benefiting music education at the Ada Jenkins Center.

Closing out the weekend, Bethel Presbyterian Church will host a free, family friendly concert featuring the Old Paths Quartet, a renowned, 5-time Horizon award nominated gospel group.
