Ms. Cain has just returned from a sabbatical that included McGill Summer Organ Academy in Montreal. She has been DCPC’s music director for three decades, performing nationally and internationally as well as here in Davidson.

Her summer studies in Montreal under Olivier Latry, organist of Notre Dame in Paris, featured master classes that focused on 19th Century French organ music. She’ll play works by Cesar Franck and Louis Vierne as well as Bach. The concert includes guest instrumentalists.

Organ at Davidson programs throughout the 2009-2010 season begin at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of DCPC. The next one is Friday, October 30, the annual silent film with spine-tingling accompaniment.
