The Lake Norman Hospice Regatta is a member of the National Hospice Regatta Alliance, a national network of hospice regattas that raise money and awareness for hospice care.

All sailors are invited to participate, whether sailing for fun, competition or in memory of loved ones. The race is a qualifying event for the National Hospice Regatta Championship in St. Petersburg, Fla. next year.

In addition to the race, the weekend includes a Friday evening social event, a raffle, games, an interfaith “memorial moment” for sailors to remember their loved ones, as well as dinner Saturday and a cookout Sunday. A portion of the registration fees for the race will benefit Hospice & Palliative Care Lake Norman, as well as all proceeds from the raffle and donations.
