Tony Furtado

The Homefront Music Series is ecstatic to present Tony Furtado, October 3, 2014 at 8 p.m. at the Wynfield Forest Clubhouse featuring national fiddle champion Luke Price. Russell Howard will open for Tony and Luke.

Tony Furtado fuses bluegrass, country, rock, blues, jazz, and folk (both American and European) on his expanding instrument arsenal of banjo, guitar, slide guitar and voice. He is gregarious, engaging and entertaining on and off stage. He’s been called a genius on banjo and slide guitar (winning the 1987 and 1991 National Banjo Competition) and his own creative interpretation-hybrid of Americana and indie rock is captivating. Onstage, whether playing with a band or solo, he owns the room, mixing stories of his travels with musicianship that is off the charts.

We are incredibly fortunate to have the 2014 Grand National fiddle champion Luke Price as Tony’s sideman for this show. This will be another special night at The Homefront Music Series. Bring a friend and your beverage (beer or wine only please) and join us for an incredible evening. Don’t forget – local bard Russell Howard will open for Tony and Luke.
