Hold your breath: It’s a busy week ahead in and around Davidson. What to pick? The North Meck Rotary and Angels of ’97 have annual charity golf tournaments at either end of the work week. Tuesday is chock full of meetings and lectures: Davidson Rotary, the Davidson Town Board, and the North Meck Republican Women all are meeting. At the college are lectures on immigration reform and by visiting artist Ewan Gibbs. Also Tuesday, Organ at Davidson opens its 2010-11 series with a concert by Robert Parris. Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities holds a public meeting Wednesday on possible reform of the water rate structure. The weekend brings a variety of opportunities, including the Know Your Farms’ 2nd annual tour of area farms and the Davidson Lands Conservancy’s Run for Green road races and Green Day Festival. On Sunday, the world-class Music @ St. Alban’s series kicks off with the fifth annual “BachFest,” while Mt. Zion United Methodist Church starts its 2010-11 concert series with a performance by the Vianello Trio. Also Sunday, it’s the final 2010 Concert on the Green, with the Davidson College Symphony and Jazz Ensemble.
