WICKED TICKETS

The Town of Davidson Parks & Recreation department has center mezzanine seating tickets to the Broadway show “Wicked” on June 1 at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte. The $80 per person fee includes transportation to and from the show and center mezzanine seating.

The bus leaves from the Parks & Recreation office, 416 Armour St., at 6:15 p.m. on June 1 and should return by 11:30 p.m.

The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. ORCHARD DAY TRIP

Take a day to pick cherries right off of the tree at Levering Orchards in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We will stop in Mt. Airy for lunch afterward and take some time to walk through the downtown area before departing back for Davidson. Wild, Wooly Wonderful Summer Drama for 4-5 year olds, Preschool Construction and Preschool Princess for 4-6 year olds, Youth Sailing Experience for 11-17 year olds, Traveling Around Latin America for 5-11 year olds, Photo Fun for 9-15 year olds, LEGO (Elementary Engineering) for ages 8 and up, Creative Writing 101, Herpetology – The camp will explore the amphibian and reptile populations in our surrounding environment and take an in-depth look at what makes these creatures so unique., Ornithology – This one-week camp will look to the sky for its inspiration: birds! Participants will have the opportunity to become field biologists that identify birds in our region, dissect owl pellets, construct food chains and webs, and learn to use and construct dichotomous keys., and Soccer for 4-7 and 8-14 year olds.

Seagrove Pottery
Seagrove- Join us on a trip to visit one of the largest communities of potters with the longest continual history of pottery making in the U.S. There are more than 100 potters who offer pottery and ceramic art. Davidson Senior Scholars
The Davidson Senior Scholars was formed to provide programs that stimulate continual intellectual and cultural growth. The general format of the meetings is that of lecture followed by question and answer. The speakers are experts in their fields and may include Davidson college professors, local physicians, and business professionals. Programs are free. Drawing for Beginners
This is a great class for any adult that has always wanted to learn to draw but has always been afraid. We will start from the beginning and learn to see and visualize how most artist do. This Explore! Art class will give you a look into the life and artistic style of many different Famous artists.

We all have different ways of expressing ourselves through artwork- this class will leave room for each student to develop and express their own personal style.
