The week starts off with a three-day conference on reformed theology and ethics that will be held at Davidson College and Davidson College Presbyterian Church. There will be worship services and programs on various topics throughout the conference. There are a number of Davidson College lectures this week, subjects include democracy, biology, environmental politics and more. Davidson College Presbyterian Church’s season of Organ at Davidson will come to a close with a performance by organist Marek Kucklicki. Artist Herb Jackson and author Alan Michael Parker have joined together to present a program Thursday called “10 Days,” with images by Jackson and poems by Parker. Lake Norman High School will present “The Sound of Music” this weekend.

Davidson Community Players’ production of “Masterpiece” takes the stage this weekend. At Davidson College, the Wildcat baseball team will be playing three games against Furman. North Carolina’s Poet Laureate Cathy Smith Bowers speaking at the Charlotte Writer’s Club’s March meeting on Thursday. There’s a business expo that will showcase Lake Norman businesses, nonprofits and attractions all day Friday, and Davidson library has preschool and toddler story times on Friday as well.
Lectures, readings, concerts, and stage performances art among the public events this month at Davidson College. The schedule includes a 42-year-retrospective exhibit of the art of Davidson art professor Herb Jackson, who is retiring at the end of the school year. The college’s Gamut Dance Co. performs March 11-12. And area high school students will be on campus March 19 for a program called March MATHness. Those events and more below:
