Dan Bern

On Monday night at The Birdsnest in downtown Davidson will host a special Valentine’s Day performance by guitarist and songwriter Dan Bern. Also ahead in the next few days, dates at Summit Coffee with the Mike Strauss Trio, Rusty Knox and other local musicians.

The Los Angeles-based Mr. Bern will play a pair of shows – 7 and 9:30 – in the intimate Birdsnest space, above the Needlecraft Center at 102-B North Main St.  A dollar from each ticket sold will go to Habitat for Humanity. (Ticket info below.)

He has released a dozen albums and performed everywhere from coffee shops to Carnegie Hall over the past decade. He also has written music for films, and had some of his songs featured in Bern also composed songs that were included in the Judd Apatow film “Get Him to the Greek.”  His latest album is “Live in New York.”
