Commissioners Jim Duke and Woody Washam plan to host talks about current town issues on the first Monday of every month, beginning in March.

And who better to open the new series than state Rep. John Bradford (R-Cornelius), who started the group while he was serving as town commissioner.

The first meeting will be Monday, March 2, at the Acropolis Restaurant at 9am. Coffee will be provided.

The chats will feature a different speaker each month who will talk about issues relevant to the town.

“We want to continue his tradition of opening dialogue with residents and keep them informed about what is going on in our community,” Duke said.

Acropolis Restaurant is at 20659 Catawba Ave., off I-77 Exit 28, Cornelius.
