Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius has announced the musical lineup for its spring and summer Cornelius Concert Series. Mick & The Ultras (rock and blues) will pay May 16, Testify (musical drama) is scheduled June 12, and the St. James Male Chorus performs July 11.

On Sunday, March 28, the Music at St. Alban’s series presents the gifted 16-year-old flutist Sarah Sullivan and members of the St. Alban’s Bach Festival Orchestra in a concert titled “Bohemian Rhapsody: Music of Mozart’s Prague. The concert begins at 3 p.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane.

A slew of fund-raisers is coming this weekend and in the near future, aiding Haitian earthquake victims, providing money for Rotary Club projects and helping to fund emergency home repairs in the area. A fund-raising dinner headlined by auto racing executive Humpy Wheeler that had been scheduled Thursday evening, Jan. 21, at Davidson College has been called off.
