The Brighter Visions program is operated by the North Carolina Lions to provide assistance for the blind and visually impaired citizens of our state. Among the special programs that Brighter Visions underwrites is the operation of the 56-acre Camp Dogwood on Lake Norman for the visually impaired, a fishing tournament for the blind at the Outer Banks each October. The project involves a gathering of visually impaired residents from throughout the state, with a substantial number of Lions members who help carry out the tournament.

Tenders is at 18341 Statesville Road in Cornelius, the corner of Statesville Road and Westmoreland Road. It specializes in fresh chicken tender strips, freshly cut French fries, hand spun milkshakes as well as other salads and sandwiches and soft drinks.
