The new Davidson College Store on Main Street in Davidson holds its grand opening with refreshments, prizes and discounts Tuesday. ReadDavidson’s second event its Monday night when Alice Glines speaks about the
MURDOCK Study and how it relates to the book “State of Wonder.” The Davidson Town Board’s monthly work session is Tuesday. Meanwhile, with a month to go until Halloween, Davidson United Methodist Church opens its annual Pumpkin Patch for Missions on Thursday. “The Smell of the Kill” returns this weekend to Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius, and the Amazing Maize Maze continues at Rural Hill in Huntersville. Summit Coffee, Campania and Flatiron Kitchen all have live music this week. And Birkdale Village in Huntersville hosts a hospice fundraiser, “Taste of Birkdale with a Twist of Fashion” on Saturday.
