DESCRIPTION:     Dr. Gill Holland\, Davidson College professor of English Emeritus\, will speak at Senior Scholars on the topic "Twenty Five Years Later: A Poet Looks Back at Tiananmen Square" on Feb. 11. Holland will share remembrances of his 1989 sabbatical in China and read from his translations of classical Chinese poetry. Holland studied Mandarin and classical Chinese at Stanford University for three summers\, and in Taiwan and Beijing\, where he taught on three sabbatical leaves. He is retired from Davidson College but still publishes.    The FREE program is 1–2:30 p.m. in the Davidson Town Hall Board Room.
