DESCRIPTION:Several support groups are meeting at The Cove Church-Mooresville campus every Tuesday from Jan. 6-March 31.     The GriefShare Ministry is a Care Group for people grieving the loss of someone close\, such as a spouse\, child\, family member or friend.   The DivorceCare Ministry exists to help men and women find help\, discover hope\, and experience healing from the pain of separation and divorce.   The Celebrate Recovery Ministry helps you with freedom from life's hurts\, habits\, and hang-ups.    All groups are a safe place to find comfort and healing in a confidential environment.

DESCRIPTION:[caption id="attachment_28228" align="alignleft" width="152"] Dr. Richard Wrangham[/caption]    Dr. Richard Wrangham\, professor of biological anthropology at Harvard University\, will discuss "Are We Wired for War? Comprehending and Mitigating Human Violence" on Tuesday\, Feb. 3\, in Hance Auditorium in the Chambers Building at Davidson College. This forum is hosted by the Vann Center for Ethics. The event is FREE and open to the public; no ticket is required.  Wrangham is the Ruth Moore Professor of Biological Anthropology and Harvard College Professor at Harvard University.  His major interests are chimpanzee and human behavioral ecology\, the evolutionary dynamics of violence\, and ape conservation. He co-authored Demonic Males: Apes and the Origins of Human Violence (1996)\, and more recently published Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human (2009). He earned a doctorate in zoology from Cambridge University in 1975\, was a research fellow at King’s College (Cambridge) from 1977 to 1980\, and taught at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) from 1981 to 1989. Since 1987\, he has studied wild chimpanzee behavior in Kibale National Park\, Uganda. He has been President (2004-2008) of the International Primatological Society\, and is a patron of the Great Ape Survival Project (GRASP). Wrangham was awarded a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 1987\, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the British Academy.
