SUMMARY:Carolina Renaissance Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Carolina Renaissance Festival was introduced in 1994 with six acres of exhibits\, attractions and entertainment. The event has grown into a twenty acre theme park filled with charming cottages and castles\, kitchens and pubs\, and a most unusual collection of people powered rides and games of skill - all nestled in 325 acres of pristine woodlands just north of Charlotte\, NC.    This is one of the most interactive entertainment shows ever created with wonderful amusements and antics ongoing all around you! You can sit back and watch\, or you can become a part of the action\, surrounded by over 500 costumed characters roaming the festival village. The village lanes are full of peasants singing sea-faring songs and street entertainers surprising you with tall tales and tricks\, each with a role to play.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Lakeside Artists Studio Tour has become a popular cultural event in the Lake Norman area.  The 2009 inaugural event drew over 500 attendees over a day and a half. We expect even more visitors this year because we are extending the event to three days; Friday\, Saturday and Sunday.  Our tag line is “one of a kind art directly from the artists”\, ensuring visitors unique works of art they won’t find everywhere else. This production is about life in a tight knit community in Washington Heights\, NYC.  The rhythm of life spans 3 generations.   At the center of the show is Usnavi (David Lawrence)\, a shop owner who dreams of winning the lottery and escaping back to his homeland of the Dominican Republic. His close childhood friend Nina (Samantha Rockhill) has returned from her first year of college. Nina\, the first to make it out of the barrio\, comes home with surprising news for her parents who have spent their life savings to create a better path for their daughter.

If you are looking for a new and out of the ordinary way to get your heart pumping and adrenaline rushing this October\, Scarrigan Farms is the place for you.    This is not a trail for kids. If you’re under 12 come back when you’re old enough. We’ll be waiting. If someone hasn’t peed in their pants by the end of the night we know we haven’t done our job. (cash only accepted for all ticket payments)    Ticket sales begin nightly at 6:30 PM (first victims enter at dark) and cease at 10:00 PM.
