Synopsis: Originally conceived and written by Preston Lane (Artistic Director of Triad Stage) and singer-song writer Laurelyn Dossett, Providence Gap receives its second world premiere at Davidson College. Making a special guest appearance, Dossett’s crystal-clear bluegrass voice will soar with Davidson musicians and actors at every performance. Join us in celebrating our Appalachian heritage with a myriad of larger-than-life characters manning brothels, traveling bands, struggling farms, the trenches of World War I, and plenty in-between. It’s a story of finding oneself through friendship, love, myth, and song. What is lost can indeed be found, if only you know where to look. For ages 12 and up.
