The next monthly meeting of the Davidson Senior Scholars on Feb. 12 will feature a program on “A Day in the Life of the White House’s National Security Council” with Russell Crandall, associate professor of political science at Davidson College.
The program begins at 1pm on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Davidson Town Hall board room, 216 S. Main St. It’s free.
Crandall will discuss his experiences as director of Western Hemisphere affairs at the NSC while serving in the administrations of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He has taught at Davidson since 2000, is the author of several books focusing on Latin American policy, and has also served as consultant to the Joint Chiefs, the U.N., and the World Bank.
