Event Navigation
Olympic Gymnastics All-Around Champion Nastia Luikin is in town to promote her namesake event – the Nastia Liukin Cup. This weekend, the Atlanta Crown Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., on Jan. 10-12, kicks off the 2014 Nastia Liukin Cup Series, the first of 20 invitationals in the Series that determine the athletes who qualify to the Nastia Liukin Cup. In its fifth year, the Nastia Liukin Cup is scheduled for Feb. 28, 2014, in Greensboro, N.C., in conjunction with the AT&T American Cup, scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2014. The AT&T American Cup is the most prestigious gymnastics competition in the country. Invitations to compete in the AT&T American Cup were based on performances at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships.
Nastia Liukin will make an appearance at KPAC 2 in Mooresville on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm to the delight of budding gymnasts with big dreams. KPAC 2, owned by former Olympian and two-time American Cup champion Kristie Phillips-Bannister of Troutman, N.C., is located at 235 Rolling Hills Drive in Mooresville and offers recreational gymnastics to girls and boys, some who may someday train with Phillips’ competitive team at the original KPAC in Troutman, NC.
