Mega Lemonade Stand for E2D
May 17, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Event Navigation
For a second year, Davidson-based E2D (Eliminate the Digital Divide) will raise money and bring awareness to its cause with lemonade stands around town. This year’s Davidson Mega-Lemonade Stand is Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 9am-noon in neighborhoods from downtown and Exit 30 to River Run and Summers Walk. And E2D invites more to join in.
E2D is a two-year-old nonprofit organization that’s trying to narrow the gap between technology haves and have-nots in north Mecklenburg by providing laptop computers, high-speed internet and training. In its first year, the group provided computers to more than 1,000 public school students in need.
E2D is inviting people to help by organizing their own lemonade stands or helping out at one already planned. And you can visit an E2D lemonade stand on Saturday, chipping in by sipping.
Here’s a list of stands already planned:
- Community School of Davidson (Harris Teeter)
- Jetton/Potts (Community Garden)
- Davidson Town Green
- Main Street (Summit Coffee)
- McEver Fields
- Antiquity Neighborhood
- Woodland/Lorimer
- Pine Road/Virginia (near Swimming Hole)
- Downing St./Concord Road (1st Entrance to McConnell)
- McConnell Green
- Robert Walker Drive (River Run Fields)
- River Run Pool (Greyton Lane)
- Overleaf/Hidden Park (River Run)
- River Run front entrance
- Summers Walk, off NC 73 east of Davidson.
