Lucky Dog food drive for tornado relief

Lucky Dog Bark & Brew in Cornelius is hosting a drive to collect pet food and other pet items to help victims of the recent tornado in Moore, OK. The drive wraps up Friday night, June 14.
The non-profit Friends of the Animals offered to help, expanding locations for dropping off and ship the supplies via Lake Norman Transportation Co.
The fully-loaded 53-foot tractor-trailer will depart for Moore, OK, on Sunday, June 16, to deliver dog and cat food, animal crates, leashes, bowls, blankets, all items any four legged friend might need while it waits with its human to find a new home.
If you would like to help, you can drop off items in Cornelius at Carolina Veterinary Clinic and Main Street Veterinary Hospital and of course the Lucky Dog Bark and Brew; in Huntersville at Lupie’s Café and Camden Sedgebrook Apartments; in Mooresville at Lakewood Veterinary Hospital and Lake Norman Animal Hospital; in Statesville at Big Shotz Tavern and at the Thorlo Tent at Statesville’s Alive After Five this Friday only, June 14 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
Donations at all locations will be collected by Saturday, June 15 and readied for shipping. The big bash will be at the Lucky Dog Bark and Brew Friday evening June 14, 6-11pm.
Friends of the Animals is a non-profit organization that plans to build a pet adoption and education center at I-77 and Exit 31 to serve the greater community. For more information, visit www.FriendsoftheAnimals.net
