The Davidson Lands Conservancy will hold its annual meeting and a nature festival on Sunday, November 10 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the West Branch Nature Preserve in Davidson.
The event will held by the Shearer Road access to the West Branch Greenway and Nature Preserve. The brief business meeting and the social hour will be hosted at the Arthur Rutenberg Model Home, 18130 Shearer Road, adjacent to the greenway access point. (Directions below.)
Annual Meeting: 2:00 – 2:30- Celebrate DLC’s year, meet our slate of new officers, and look to the future.
Nature Festival: 2:30 – 4:00
Walk with the experts
- Wetland Nature Hike with Chris Matthews
- Bird/Butterfly Walk with Rob Van Epps
- Wetland Systems Hike with Dr. Brad Johnson
The hikes and walk (2 mi. each) are each limited to 25 people; first-come, first-served. Sign-up begins at 1:30 at the Welcome Tent.
DIRECTIONS: From downtown Davidson, proceed east on Concord Rd. After approximately two miles go straight at the roundabout onto E. Rocky River Rd. Follow E. Rocky River Rd. approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Shearer Rd. The Model Home is at the intersection of Shearer and June Washam Rd.)
