Charlotte Ballet’s “REACH” Auditions
Students ages 7 to 10 are invited to audition for Charlotte Ballet’s Reach program. Reach makes quality dance training accessible to minority, male and female students with evidenced financial need and little, if any, previous dance experience, who demonstrate a natural talent for movement and the potential to be trained in dance. Auditions are being held August 18-21, 2014, at area Park and Recreation Centers. Open auditions are held each year and selection is determined based on natural abilities, the potential to be trained in dance, financial need and family commitment to the program. Students selected for the program attend classes each week at one of four Mecklenburg County recreation centers. All first-year students receive their dance attire at no charge to their families. Students and their parents also receive tickets to attend select Charlotte Ballet performances.
