Join St. Alban’s Episcopal Church for Agave Baroque. Welcome to their 11th season of providing world class musical performances for the greater Lake Norman area. They open this season with “BachFest – featuring Agave Baroque” a dynamic ensemble specializing in string chamber music of the seventeenth century. Now in their sixth season, Agave Baroque has emerged as a unique and innovative voice in the early music community. They will perform works by the famous J.S. Bach as well as works by some of Bach’s relatives.
Featuring: Aaron Westman and Beth Wenstrom on baroque violins; William Skeen on viola da gamba; Kevin Cooper on theorbo and baroque guitar; and Henry Lebedinsky on harpsichord and organ. Countertenor Reginald Mobley will join the ensemble for this program. He is particularly noted for his “crystalline diction and pure, evenly produced tone” (Miami Herald), as well as “elaborate and inventive ornamentation” (South Florida Classical Review). Reggie is rapidly making a name for himself as soloist in Baroque, Classical, and modern repertoire.
Tickets are available at the door for $15 (adults); $10 (seniors and students) and children under 12 years are FREE. Admission includes complimentary “Meet the Artist” reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres following the concert.
