The non-profit Community Arts Project in Cornelius will host its seventh annual Taste of Art Event inside the Fresh Market Store in Cornelius this Thursday, May 15, from 8 to 10pm.
The store is closed to the public while guests enjoy an evening including hors d’oeuvres provided by the Fresh Market and a wine tasting with one-ounce pours of more than 30 different wines. Read the full story

Youth Day is one of two bands playing at Saturday night’s Rock the Cure fundraiser at River Run.
Lake Norman area teens in several bands, including The Distance, Youthday, Jessica Merklein Band and Ricky Calud Ellis – will “Rock for the Cure” Saturday night at River Run Country Club in Davidson, to aid ShirleysAngels.org, a non-profit that was created to help women diagnosed with breast cancer.
