The March exhibit at in Davidson Town Hall’s Atrium Gallery is “Witness Davidson,” a series of 60 black-and-white photos of downtown Davidson by Davidson Day School photography students of instructor Laura Mueller Woods. The work was inspired by “Bearing Witness – NY Photo League and Sonia Handelman Meyer,” the current show of 1940s-era black and white photos on view through June at the Mint Museum in Charlotte. Lake Norman Conservatives has moved its previously scheduled monthly meeting to this Wednesday, Feb. 26, to accommodate the schedule of guest speakers Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of fallen Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn, who died on the Extortion 17 mission. The Vaughns learned this week that they will testify at a long-awaited Congressional hearing on the incident.   Read the full story

Our Events Calendar lists plenty of activities around the Lake Norman area this week, from public meetings to theater to basketball.  On Tuesday, the Smith Artist Series at Davidson College presents a performance by the Cashore Marionettes of Life in Motion. On Wednesday,  Davidson Green School holds another information session for interested families, and Green Drinks Lake Norman will hold their monthly meeting to discuss water reclamation and other topics.
