Davidson’s annual Art on the Green festival returns to the Village Green this weekend, part of the April is for Arts celebration of art and culture in North Mecklenburg. Art on the Green includes food, music, and a juried exhibit and demonstrations of arts and crafts by regional artists.
The festival is Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, from noon to 4 p.m.

The W.A. Hough High School Photography Club hosted an exhibit at the Carolina Art Garden gallery, at Oak Street Mill, 19725 Oak St., Tuesday night to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson will host a Lenten media program Sunday night, March 27, with artist Tom Schulz exploring Michelangelo’s “Pieta.”
The program begins at 7 p.m. at St. Alban’s, 301 Caldwell Lane, off Concord Road.
