A group exhibit of photography and digital art by local artists is now open at Davidson Town Hall, 216 S. Main St., Davidson. A reception with the artists is planned Friday, Oct. 7, 5-7 p.m. The exhibit may be viewed during Town Hall business hours through Oct. 31 in the Town Hall atrium gallery.

The show includes works by six local artists: Kevin Childress, Jan Black, Lyndsay Kibiloski, Rachel Goldstein, Steve Marsh, and David Boraks. Read the full story

Case Warnemunde

Case Warnemunde has a dream of building a self-sustaining network of people, artists, and businesses to celebrate all things local. To that end, the Davidson resident’s nonprofit organization Bella Love hosted one of its first big outdoor public events Saturday night, “The Sound of Love” music and art festival at Kenton Place, off West Catawba Avenue in Cornelius. “The Beautiful World of Watercolor,” an exhibit of watercolors by local artist and instructor Jim Kerr and his students will open Friday, June 24, at in the rotunda of Davidson Town Hall, 216 S. Main St.

The exhibit will be on view from June 24 to July 15, weekdays 8-5. The public is invited to meet the artists and instructor and enjoy refreshments at the opening reception on Friday, June 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., also at Town Hall. Read the full story
