Davidson-based nonprofit business incubator the Project for Innovation, Energy and Sustainability (PiES) was among 31 Charlotte area groups and citizens honored Wednesday with 2015 Sustain Charlotte awards. Meanwhile, PiES celebrates Earth Day with a pair of events this week: a special edition of the monthly Green Drinks Lake Norman networking series on Thursday evening, and a Saturday showcase of winners of its 2015 Green Idea Factory student competition.
