
Peking Acrobats Tuesday at Davidson College

This week is full of Davidson College sports. Davidson College women’s basketball is playing Furman on Monday, the men play Elon Thursday and UNCG on Saturday, and the baseball team has games Friday Saturday. Meanwhile, former WNBA star Andrea Stinson hosts a basketball clinic Saturday at Bailey Road Park.
The gymnasts, jugglers, cyclists and tumblers of the Peking Acrobats are coming to Davidson College’s Duke Performance Hall on Tuesday. Thursday is the opening day of the play “Masterpiece,” the story of one of the most notorious art forgers. It plays Thursday-Sunday this week.
There’s a new driver “experience” event where new drivers experience the dangers of drinking or texting while driving by wearing special goggles while driving golf carts. Also, the Davidson Farmer’s Market is open on Saturday at 9 a.m. and a chili cook-ff is at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Davidson College Presbyterian Church to benefit the Mooresville Soup Kitchen.

Musical events are coming up in the next couple of weeks at area churches, including a big band concert at Mt. Zion United Methodist and an organ concert at Davidson United Methodist Church. Also, Davidson College Presbyerian Church has an opening for an assistant.
