The new year has arrived, with a few tasty tidbits for your entertainment pleasure in and around Davidson this week. The Rocky River Road Club holds its annual Polar Bear winter bike ride Saturday morning, raising money for Ada Jenkins Center. Davidson College men’s basketball team is in town for two more games, tonight in a Cats-vs.-Dogs matchup with Samford, and Saturday afternoon against Appalachian State.
There’s also a variety of music at Summit Coffee and The Brickhouse this week, including the Rusty Knox Band at Summit Thursday and jazz guitarist Dennis Currier and Terzetto Saturday at Summit – the latter a rare chance to hear some home-grown jazz right here in Davidson. The college is slowly coming back to life, as students will arrive at the weekend for classes that resume Monday.
