DavidsonLearns, the Lake Norman area’s lifelong learning program, has begun accepting registration for its spring term beginning in April, with courses in genealogy, economics, international affairs, and storytelling.
DavidsonLearns’ classes offer intellectual stimulation in a friendly setting with highly qualified instructors. Here are details of this spring’s classes:
- “Advanced Genealogy: What to Do When You Hit a Dead End Online” – (Tuesdays, 10am, starting April 1), with Marilyn Rousseau, professor emerita at City University of New York and a 30-year genealogy researcher.
- “Understanding U.S. Economic Data” – (Wednesdays, 7pm, starting April 2), with instructor Diane Kutyla, an MBA and corporate economic analyst.
- “International Affairs – Latin America” – (Mondays, 7pm, starting April 7), with instructor Tom Rynne, a retired U.S. intelligence officer.
- “Story Telling and Identity” (Thursdays, 1pm, starting April 17), with Davidson College Professor and storyteller Nancy Fairley.
