What better place to explore interfaith connections than in a facility aptly named Discovery Place? And what better time to do it than the weekend before Christmas, which, for Christians around the world marks the birth of Jesus? For anyone who has ever pondered the origins of the civilized world and contemplated their faith, the faith of others, or no faith at all, may find this weekend’s pick fascinating. I know I do.
Families of Abraham is a photography exhibit featuring local Jewish, Christian, and Muslim families all bonded by a shared common ancestor, Abraham. He is the central figure in all of their three major religions and represents the thread that weaves this fabric of faith exploration together.
Journey through history and catch an intimate peak into the private lives of the faithful in Charlotte while examining your own faith ,or simply satisfying a curiosity. Whether you’re a history buff, person of faith, religious fanatic, or just seek a deeper understanding of humanity, this exhibit is for you.
