Bella Love Inc.
Old Town Cornelius businesses will be ringing in the centuries old holiday of Halloween Thursday, Oct. 31, while starting what they hope will become new local tradition. Stop and Shop Specials for grown-ups along with  trick-or-treating for kids will take place all afternoon in participating shops along Catawba Avenue and at Oak Street Mill.

Bella Love presents a “block party”-esque atmosphere Thursday which is child friendly and welcomes all ages. (Adults who are children at heart, this means you!) There will be activities and incentives to participate including a photo booth and kids activities at The Cornelius  Arts Center, apple cider at Oak Street Mill Antiques, and special discounts at stores like Brand Name Consignment and Ava Lilly’s Boutique.

TREASURE HUNT

All of this will be wrapped up into a treasure hunt-themed game that offers even higher stakes.  Upon arrival, event goers will receive a map where they will collect stickers from as many participating businesses as possible while solving riddles and collecting candy along the way. If a guest completes the majority of the map, or solves any of the riddles, they will be entered into a drawing to win a gift basket of all locally donated prizes; goods and services. The prizes include Gift Certificates worth hundreds of dollars, gourmet sweets, and one-of-a kind art by local favorite Edie Lee.

Bella Love aims  to bring awareness to the eclectic businesses located  in the heart of downtown Cornelius. Be prepared to spend the afternoon and take part in this soon-to-be tradition, “Halloween in Old Town Cornelius.” For those who don’t have a child in tow, the fun is for you, too!  Maps and candy will be issued to anyone who appears and craves a truly unique Halloween experience. Participating businesses include:

The games commence at 2pm and wrap-up at sundown, but the official party does not end there. Bella Love will keep the festivities going throughout the evening hours, with a special concert from The Calm & Repose at Kadi Fit in the Oak Street Mill, 19725 Oak St.  Doors open at 8pm and there will be even more Halloween games and activities including a costume contest. Admission is $10 with a $5 reduction if you appear in costume.
