Oak Street Mill is becoming the hub for art and entertainment in Cornelius and Bella Love Inc. will host the first in a series of monthly shows called LIVE! at Oak Street Mill, 19725 Oak St., this Friday, Sept. 27 at 8pm.
The inaugural show will feature the electrifying sounds of Monotone Maggie, Knowne Ghost, and The Calm & Repose, as well as a live collaborative painting by Justin Christenbery, Adam McGalliard and Cordell Ferguson.
Monotone Maggie plays electrifying, melodic music with a new wave to a familiar alternative indie sound. The members are: Chris Lambert (drums), Adrian Anderson (rhythm guitar, vocals, songwriter), James Van Horn (lead guitar), JD Freeman (bass), Lex Perry (vocals, songwriter) The band is based out of Charlotte. They are “really excited and pumped to play for Bella Love. We really want to put our all into every show. We look at every show as a learning opportunity,” Adrian Anderson said. Members range in age from 16 to 21. They performed at Lake Norman’s Got Talent this summer. Find them on Facebook.

Knowne Ghost, with Cade Ratcliff (vocals and guitar), John Youngblood (guitar), Bobby Thomas(drums), and Jordan Daugherty (bass), are regular performers at Bella Love’s Thursday Open Mic nights at Kadi Fit Studio. They practice frequently and have an impressive polished sound. Their songs are all original and can be classified as indie rock and roll.
The Calm & Repose (TCAR) is gaining popularity and momentum with their eclectic sound. Their debut self-titled EP is now availible on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and many other industry leading music marketing and distribution applications. Members: Morgan Eynard (vocals), Anthony Eynard (vocals/guitar), Matt Alexander (guitar), Brett Satterfield (guitar), Chris Critchfield (drums), Frank Pinto (bass.) Growing up together in suburbia, Huntersville, the members of The Calm & Repose have played music and created art together for as long as they can remember. In fact, Anthony and Morgan, TCAR’s Vocal Duo, are brother and sister and have been singing and writing songs together since preadolescence. TCAR is a band encapsulated by passion and familial bonds.

Bella Love promotes community through organizing all local art and entertainment events. We are pleased to be bringing attention to an already existing culture in and around Old Town Cornelius through events at Oak Street Mill.
