
Trivia Night at Summit Coffee
Teachers and students are back in class, but the Events Calendar continues to have a full offering of meetings and gatherings across the region. Tonight, the newly formed Huntersville “Happy Hour” Rotary Club will meet Dressler’s in Birkdale Village from 5:30-6:30pm. Summit Coffee hosts its weekly trivia night on the porch starting at 7:30pm, and the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus is hosting an open house and informational meeting at 7pm at Community in Christ Lutheran Church. COMING UP THIS WEEK
This Tuesday, US Rep. Robert Pittenger (R-9) will host a Town Hall meeting in Mooresville at the Charles Mack Citizens Center at 7pm – all interested citizens are invited to attend. The Twister’s Shag Club, a non-profit social group for singles and couples age 21 and over, continues its Tuesday night dance lessons at 7:30 in Mooresville. Beginner lessons start at 7:30pm, and Beginner II lessons start at 8:30pm.
Make plans to stop by Lunch in the Lot this Wednesday, Cornelius’ weekly food truck rally featuring creative, local meals from 11am – 2pm. Cake donations to the Davidson College Cake Race are due between 1pm and 3pm, and cake donors are invited to stick around for the race and see when their cake gets chosen! Rep. Pittenger hosts his second Town Hall meeting in the Lake Norman region Wednesday night at 7pm in Cornelius Town Hall.
Looking ahead to this Thursday, the Lake Norman Kiwanis Club will be meeting at 7:30am at the Acropolis restaurant in Cornelius, and Green Drinks Lake Norman returns Thursday evening at Campania to discuss food, farmer’s markets, organics, and agri-business. This month’s speaker is Courtney Spear is the manager of the Davidson Farmer’s Market.
