Cornelius Bonds hearing, town meeting, Big Band Concert

Numerous town and municipal meeting are on the calendar for this coming week, and the public is invited to attend to observe their government in action. The meetings start Monday morning, when Cornelius commissioner John Bradford continues his monthly Cornelius Coffee Chat [2] at 9:30am at the Acropolis Restaurant. The Town of Cornelius will hold a public hearing on the upcoming bond measure [3] during its monthly meeting Monday night from 7-9pm – all citizens are invited to attend. The Lake Norman Big Band
Monday night brings more than just meetings – the Lake Norman Big Band will put on its monthly concert [4] at the Finish Line Restaurant at
George Pappas’ Victory Lanes in Mooresville, from 7-9pm. The 20 member ensemble is made up of Lake Norman area musicians, and is featured at events across the region.

Food trucks return to Downtown Cornelius on Wednesday during the weekly “Lunch in the Lot” [6] from 11am – 2pm. The Living After Suicide Support Group [7] will meet on Wednesday at 7pm at the Solomon House. Wednesday evening, US Rep. Robert Pittenger (R-NC 9) will host a public Town Hall [8] in Matthews at 6:30pm at the Matthews Town Hall.
Also Wednesday evening, the Town of Davidson Design Review Board [9] will meet at 7pm at Davidson Town Hall. A copy of their agenda is available on the Events Calendar. The Improv Vikings, a local improv comedy group, will put on a comedy show at the Fox and Hound [10] in Birkdale. The Cornelius Outdoor Cinema series [11] also continues Wednesday evening, with a screening of The Amazing Spiderman at Kenton Place starting at nightfall. Bring a blanket and chairs!
