Classes, lectures, and seminars are taking place across the region this week. Davidson Planning Board will hold an open meeting at 6pm Monday at Davidson Town Hall. On Tuesday, The Daylily Book Club will meet at the Cornelius Library at 10am with special guest and Davidson College professor emeritus, Dr. Tony Abbott. Comedian Craig Carmean will be performing at the Lake Norman Comedy Zone that evening – the doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm.
Wednesday, head to the Oak Street Mill in Downtown Cornelius for Lunch in the Lot at 11am, a weekly food truck rally organized by the Cornelius Cultural Arts Group. A free program on “Natural Solutions for ADHD & How to Be the Calm Inside Your Chaos” is being offered this month by local experts both Wednesday and Thursday from 10-11am. The venue varies, see the event for details. Wednesday night, the Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series continues with a screening of the latest James Bond film, “Skyfall,” in Kenton Place at dusk and Junestar returns to perform at The Birdsnest in Downtown Davidson.
On Thursday, The Davidson Community Players‘ performance of “The Pajama Game” continue at the Duke Family Performance Hall, with show times at 8pm Thursday through Saturday and a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Davidson Farmer’s Market and the Downtown Mooresville Farmer’s Market both continue offering local food and products at 8am on Saturday, and Carrburritos‘ Summer Music program continues with the Parodi Kings.
