
“The Pajama Game” opens Thursday, June 20, and runs to June 29 at Davidson College’s Duke Family Performance Hall.
This Weekend in the Lake Norman Region, live theatre and music, athletic tournaments, and educational opportunities are in abundance. Tonight, “The Pajama Game” opens at 8pm in the Duke Family Performance Hall at Davidson College and runs through June 29th. Check out our preview here: “The Pajama Game” hits the stage. The Summit Songwriters Showcase also continues tonight, featuring Valorie Miller, Chuck Johnson, and Rob McHale at 8pm at Summit Coffee.
Friday morning, the Davidson Library will host Preschool Storytime to help encourage language and pre-learning skills from 10:15am-10:45am. In the afternoon, Summit Coffee hosts “Summit Summer Nights” on the back porch at 5pm, featuring craft beer and staff from NoDa Brewery based out of North Charlotte, and live music by Sunday Union at 8pm. The Powerade State Games continues in Mecklenburg County this weekend, with several tournaments in the North Meck area. Youth Baseball, Gymnastics, Youth and Adult Soccer, and Wrestling tournaments and events will all kick off on Friday. Baseball and Soccer will continue through Saturday. Also on Saturday, the Davidson Film Club Presents “Fraulein,” a 2006 film by Swiss director Andrea Staka at the Armour Street Theater in Davidson at 7pm. The Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series continues with a boat-in movie, “Men in Black 3″ at Ramsey Creek Park starting around 8:30pm. On Sunday, join the Tarheel Trailblazers in a Fisher Farm Park Service Day starting at 8:30am.
