This Saturday marks the first of two “boat-ins” here at Lake Norman this summer. Don’t miss your chance to see “Men in Black 3″ under the stars at Ramsey Creek Park from, where else, Your boat!
Can’t make it? Your next, and last, chance to experience it is Saturday July 20 with the showing of “Rise of the Guardian.”
Part of the ongoing summer Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series, these unique offerings remind me why I enjoy living here so much. The opportunity to watch a movie under the stars is nice, by itself. Watching said movie from the comfort of your boat while the moonlight dances on the water? Priceless. No, really. It’s free. And completely wonderful.
Don’t have a boat? That’s OK! Head on over to Ramsey Creek Park anyway and watch on land. Bring a blanket or chair and prepare to be entertained. I love Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith.
Take advantage of refreshments available for purchase or pack a picnic. Might I suggest bug spray with your popcorn? Show starts at dusk. Speaking from experience, if you do come by boat, make sure your navigation lights work before you leave the dock. (Oops)
For more information on Saturday’s “boat-in,” and the rest of the Town sponsored outdoor movie series, visit the PARC website.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. And, please, let’s all stay dry. No more rain!
