Davidson Players’ ‘Pajama Game’ hits the stage

Davidson Community Players’ first big summer production, the Tony Award winning musical “The Pajama Game,” opens Thursday, and runs through June 29 at Davidson College’s Duke Family Performance Hall. This musical comedy features many familiar tunes including “Steam Heat,” “Hey There” and “Hernando’s Hideaway.”
Based on the novel “7 ½ cents” by Richard Bissell, it features a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. Amid labor strife in a pajama factory, love blossoms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.
“The Pajama Game” is directed by Melissa Ohlman-Roberge and stars Meredith Swanson as Babe and Bill Caswell as Sid. (Full cast below.)
Performances are June 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at 8pm and June 23 and 29 at 2 pm. Tickets are $24 for adults, $22 for seniors and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 704-892-7953 or online at davidsoncommunityplayers.org [2].
