More activity continues in the Lake Norman region at the end of a hot, Summer week, including live music, arts festivals, and introductory rowing instruction. Tonight, Jackie Moseley performs at Summit Coffee from 8-11pm, and Carrburritos is hosting the Brian Burton, Ben Davenport, and Karl Gunther Trio starting around 9:15pm. On Friday, Summit plays host to locally renowned musician Rusty Knox, again from 8-11pm. Also on Friday, The ‘Tawba Walk Art Crawl IV hosted by Bella Love, Inc. will take place in Downtown Cornelius from 6-10pm featuring over 60 local artisans, dozens of performers, and five food trucks. On the lake this weekend, it’s the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour.

Saturday morning starts out with a bike race benefiting a great cause, the Collier Lilly Ride 4 Life. The race has 100k, 50k, and 15k categories and registration begins at 7am. Test yourself at the popular Warrior Dash obstacle race at Rural Hill on Saturday; registration is still open. National Learn to Row Day at North Carolina Community Sailing & Rowing welcomes anyone interested in learning to row to their facilities at Blythe Landing Park from 10am-1pm Saturday. Cap the evening off with more live music at Summit by rock band Grievous Angels. Weather permitting, the performance will be outdoors. Wrapping up this weekends’ activities is the return of Davidson’s Concert on the Green, featuring The Lake Norman Big Band (LNBB), a 20-member ensemble composed of talented musicians from the Lake Norman region.
