This week’s calendar features more local arts and artists as well as several community events and meetings after a beautiful Memorial Day weekend in Cornelius and Davidson. Test your knowledge at Summit Coffee’s Trivia Night Monday night, and then help give back to the community on Tuesday at the American Red Cross Blood Drive at Davidson College Presbyterian Church. On Wednesday, A Giving Spirit Foundation‘s (AGSF) local business partnerships this month concludes with an AGSF Benefit Day at Flatiron Kitchen + Taphouse. The Added Touch Duo will be performing at Flatiron that evening. To support AGSF, be sure to bring the benefit flyer with you. One can be obtained by emailing agsf@agivingspirit.com.
Wednesday night, Davidson Police Chief Jeanne Miller will give an interactive presentation to teens and their parents at Town Hall on “The Dangers of Distracted Driving.” On Thursday, the Cornelius Historic Preservation Commission will meet in Town Hall and the 6th grade class of Community School of Davidson will welcome the community to their 6th Annual Holocaust Memorial Museum at the school. Presentation appropriate for those in 6th grade and older. BellaLove, Inc. will once again be hosting Open Mic Night at Kadi Fit Thursday evening – come out and enjoy local artists, musicians, and drink specials.
Looking ahead to the weekend, BellaLove, Inc. will also be sponsoring the ‘Tawba Walk Art Crawl IV in Downtown Cornelius this Friday evening. Mark your calendar for live music, performances, artwork, shopping, local food, and more.
